Background story: In December 2017, after several weeks in which I had hardly any free time due to family and work commitments, I finally found an opportunity to photograph again.

Without a specific destination, I drove through the local farming communities in the mucky weather that had already lasted for days, always on the lookout for a possible motif.

It was probably thanks to the sudden onset of snowfall and my slow driving that I noticed this gap in the hedge at the side of the road, which perfectly frames the group of trees. The picture you see here was actually taken directly from the cosy warmth of the car.
