Background story: A framed photography of the ”Schleierfälle“ (Veil Falls) hanging in the Bavarian accommodation we booked for the autumn holidays 2019, inspired me to take this image.

As I was not familiar with the area at the time, I had a bit of trouble finding the waterfall.

At some point on the way through the forest, I heard a splashing sound that I could orientate myself by. I ended up at the top of the falls though, unable to find a way down into the Ammer Gorge. I was on the verge of giving up, when I finally discovered an access point that allowed me to enjoy and photograph this impressive natural wonder.
