Background story: I took this picture on the last morning of a 4-day photo trip to Provence. After an exhausting time in the summer heat and multiple short nights, I initially had wanted to sleep in on the day of departure, but a look at the weather data promised such a colorful sunrise that the alarm clock had to be set to 04:15 AM - yet again.

When I arrived in the next morning’s twilight, a cool breeze brushed across the field. In this quiet peacefulness, accompanied only by the light rustling of leaves, the clouds‘ colors intensified until the sun finally rose over the mountain ridge, flooding the landscape with its light and warmth.
